 Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction

A TMJ Massage is a massage to the external and internal muscles of the jaw - the TemporalMandibular Joint or TMJ.

Our Therapist will also treat the head, scalp, neck, arms and upper back.

Prior To treatment You will be Assessed and Treatment will be based on those findings and your concerns.

During Assessment Your Therapist Will Have Your Perform a Series of simple movements for your neck and jaw.

Based on those results treatment may involve External Massage and Intra Oral Massage. 

We will provide strategies to address any poor oral habits like clenching and grinding 

• education on self-treatment and preventative strategies

• manual therapy

The assessment is one hour and subsequent follow-up sessions are approximately half an hour.

Intra Oral Massage is Massage Therapy performed to the muscles of the jaw inside of your mouth. The Therapist will wear gloves and ensure consent prior to treatment.
