Women's Health FAQ - Saskatoon
What women's health concerns do you commonly support?
Women seek massage therapy and acupuncture for many reasons, including menstrual discomfort, fertility preparation, pregnancy-related aches and pains, postpartum recovery, pelvic tension, scar tissue, stress, headaches, sleep challenges, breast and chest discomfort, and the transitions of perimenopause and menopause.
Should I book with Jenel or Dr. Zhong?
Both practitioners support women's health through different clinical approaches.
Jenel's work focuses on therapeutic massage, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, pregnancy and postpartum care, breast and chest tissue work, movement, and women's body literacy.
Dr. Zhong approaches care through acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, supporting the body through a different diagnostic and treatment framework.
Some women work with one practitioner, while others choose to combine both approaches.
Can massage therapy and acupuncture support fertility?
Many women include massage therapy and acupuncture as part of their overall wellness and preconception care. Treatment may focus on stress reduction, relaxation, recovery, circulation, sleep quality, and supporting overall health while preparing for pregnancy.
Do you offer pregnancy and postpartum care?
Yes. We regularly work with women throughout pregnancy and after birth. Care may include prenatal massage, postpartum recovery support, scar tissue treatment, abdominal and pelvic-focused bodywork, acupuncture, and general wellness care.
Can I receive treatment if I have endometriosis or PCOS?
Many women living with endometriosis or PCOS seek massage therapy and acupuncture to support overall wellbeing, stress management, movement, sleep, recovery, and symptom management as part of their broader healthcare plan.
Is women's health care covered by insurance?
Massage therapy appointments with a Registered Massage Therapist may be eligible for coverage through many extended health benefit plans. Direct billing is available with many providers.
Acupuncture coverage depends on your individual insurance plan.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required to book massage therapy or acupuncture at StoonRMT.
Which appointment should I start with?
If you're unsure where to begin, book the service that feels most aligned with your current goals, or contact our team and we'll help guide you toward the most appropriate practitioner.
