Pelvic Floor Healing in Saskatoon

The pelvic floor includes muscles, ligaments, nerves, and connective tissue. It plays a vital role in the body by providing support posture and our internal organs like the bladder, genitals, uterus, and anus. Our focus is Homeostasis - inner balance of the anatomy & Hemodynamics - how blood, lymph & energy flow is a priority of treatment outcome.

Treatment will always start with an assessment of Common areas that refer pain to the pelvic region include the abdomen, lower back, hips, pubic symphysis (the front part of your pubic bones) and sacroiliac joint (the joint formed by the sacrum and ilium from your low back to your coccyx).

This treatment will be hands-on, and the therapist will go over an informed consent before any testing, palpation, or treatment.

Self-care techniques, Education,  & Optimal positioning of organs, pelvis, and rib cage are a primary focus.

EveryBODY is different - so based off of your assessment and findings treatment may include :

Breathing - Core Awareness - Posture

Education, Exercise and Stretch Programs, Hands-on Therapy to Release Trigger Points or Reset the Pelvis Myofascial System, Visceral Manipulation, Mizan Therapy, Acupuncture, Electro-Stimulation, Herbal Remedies, & Yoga Therapy.

This Will Allow You Release & Retrain Holding Patterns Within Your Pelvis.

The Importance of the Psoas

For a woman, her pelvis is the cradle of civilization. The internal environment needs to be lush, centered, and dynamic. The Psoas, spoken of as the muscle of the soul in Daoist healing traditions therefore, holds the key for a juicy pelvis, and for accessing instinctual primal wisdom essential for a resilient natural birth process.

On a very functional level, a lush juicy Psoas relieves and even eliminates low back and leg pains, centers the energy of support within the bones, opens the pelvis and hips for support, and helps a birthing woman avoid induction.

On every level understanding the messages of Psoas not only resolves the fear of birthing, but awakens our animal body instincts empowering mother and baby to emerge and blossom whole-heartedly and with their core integrity intact.

Saskatoon's Core Corrective Exercise Specialist

Working with pregnant and postpartum women, not to mention perimenopause and menopause when those hormonal changes can leave a woman’s body more vulnerable to injury, much like the postpartum time period!

It’s no wonder so many women get prolapse when they go through menopause. They aren’t exercising in a system that supports them.

If they are taught how to manage pressure properly and with great technique, then many cases of prolapse could be prevented.

This isn’t just for those that are pregnant or newly postpartum, it’s women that want to support a lifetime of healthy exercise.
